Seems to me there was previous talk of one a year or two ago. TVA stands for Tennessee Valley Authority. (As any high school history student knows is the federal project that built all the dams and hydro plants in the 30's.)
Suppose the other one was built by someone else?

Found this bay in a junk yard today. Owner wasn't in, so left my info. They were not sure if he would sell it whole or not. As of now I'm not sure I want a bay, I'd prefer a split, but if the price is right I may get it for SNG's. If not, I'll post the info for some one if they want to pick her up.
Lifted the floor mat on drivers side, just some minor surface rust, middle seat is gone, rear seat looks like you could wipe it down and it would be new again. Motor is all there that I can tell. A few dents in the nose, rear corners are a little beet up, and some minor rust around the rear compartment. It looks like a battery, new tires, and some fresh gas, and she might drive home. |

Probably needs the gas tank cleaned unless they ran it dry.
Is this GREEN? Like velvet green (Don't know if they called it that in 1970, they did in 1966.) I love that color.
Nice find.

That is a clean looking Velvet Deluxe It may have some bells and whistles on it. You get that bus going and those misplaced yearnings for a split will go away real quick _________________

Pretty sure that is Delta Green, and I'm also pretty sure I know that bus. I checked it out several years ago, but it is no longer in the same spot that it was, and I thought it was gone.

I've been driving by this 71 bus for the last decade. It was tucked away in Mexican Hat, Utah. A year or more ago I asked for permission to take a look. I'd always thought about getting it even though I'm a late bus guy but it was kinda stripped and had been rolled.
A few months ago it disappeared. I asked the owner what the story was and "Junk!" was the answer. Sold for scrap. They did pull the engine/trans for a a future dune buggy project. Despite being rolled the nose was perfect, glass, maybe the front beam, and small parts, no rust...
Time to rescue the others I know about before it's too late! |

I posted this a week or so ago, the guy got back to me and he is asking $1500. I just picked up a 63 ragtop, so I'm passing on the bus. It's is located in Glendive MT. At the Glendive auto sales junk yard. The general managers name is Kevin, and the contact number is (406) 365-4480
He said they have the title. I posted more pics above. If you are interested I may have more pics, or could get you more if seriously interested. Pm me..

I tried to find my photos of that bus back 6-7 (maybe 10?) years ago, but I could not. Looks the same by me recollection, but it must be sitting inside the fence now.
Thanks for putting it out there for other interested buyers. I have no plans to go get it. Hope someone else can make it work. The bus is worth saving I think. _________________ nothing |

I picked this up recently. Still undecided if I want to restore it, part it, or flip it. '72 bay window Westy. It's complete+spare parts, but needs rockers and interior work. Some problems with the motor as well, currently not running, but ran when parked.

I am more in to splits so thought I would pass this find along to anyone interested. I drove by this today and had to have a look
1972 RHD Devon Moonraker. Bus runs and drives but needs work (on first glance it needs tires, prolly tire rods, brakes etc etc. Sat in storage. Wish I had pics for you- still has british plates on it!
Bus is located in Toronto- owners name is Robin 647-269-6996.
That is all I know |
