|
|
I recently got a 66 Square--all original; it was running great. Would start right up on first crank every time--until today. Started fine in the morning; I drove it 15 minutes, went food shopping, and when I returned it would just turn over and turn over and wouldn't fire. I'm a total mechanical novice, but I'd appreciate any ideas as to the cause and possible solution to this problem. Thanks. |

You need 3 things for an engine to run. Fuel-Ignition-Compression. One of these is missing.
Do you have fuel? do you have spark, and do you have compression. _________________ Society is like stew. If you don't keep it stirred up, you end up with a lot of scum on the top!--Edward Abbey

Yeah, my first guess would be spark. Check to see if the distributor hopped up out of it hole a little (disengaging the drive dog), as I've had that happen a couple of times. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

I've had the black power wire fall off the positive side (#15) of the coil before, might want to check that, too. _________________ OGST
