Nor-Cal Bus Fest 11 is just two short weeks from today!
Grand prize for the days end raffle is a set of Safari Windows, graciously donated by Al Price of Honest Engine Midtown. Lots of other great prizes from uber-generous sponsors Wolfsburg West, Vintage Parts Inc, West Coast Metric and Laveres VW Restoration.
This year's special display is 21 window buses, hoping for a strong showing of these beauties.
***ALL Volkswagen buses and trucks, regardless of year, model or condition are encouraged to participate. No need to leave your bus or truck in the parking lot, come on in! _________________ David Heard

Bus Fest 11 is tomorrow!
Gates open at 8:00 am for this display and swap event which is open to ALL Volkswagen buses and trucks, regardless of year model or condition. General admission is still only $10 per adult (kids under 12 are free), and includes entry, display AND swap space if needed. This year's special display is 21 Window Deluxe Microbuses, so if you have one, please bring it out.
This year's grand prize in the raffle is a set of safari windows donated by Honest Engine Midtown/Sacramento! There are also lots of great prizes from Wolfsburg West, Vintage Parts, West Coast Metric and Laveres, and normally lots of other day-of-the-show donations.
Bus Fest is held at the Contra Costa County Fairgrounds, 1201 West 10th Street, Antioch, CA 94509. For this event, we use the tree-shaded (perfect for hot Antioch summer days like tomorrow) front park area. This area is accessed from the fairgrounds main entrance. _________________ David Heard

30-40% of the buses and trucks that attend are Bay Window and newer. Swap varies year to year, but there are always good deals to be found! _________________ David Heard

Well, this was my first bus fest and I have to say I had a great time. I have a 69 westy which I didn't bring but spoke with several bay owners, westy owners. I met a lot of good people, good conversations. The turnout was awesome, so many splittys, bays and vanagons. I will definitely go again next year. |
