Not only will you need to know the size of the hole, but you will also need to know where to put it.. I.e. how far from the windshield and each side. My car is not here, but I will check back next time. I go work on it. Do you know what year it is off of?

How much sheet metal do you have around the rag top ; there are several ways to install one that are easier than a "factory " job,

With a fabric tailors measuring tape ; mine is 4 1/2 inches back from the windshield in the center to the metal of the roof mechanism/fabric . you may be better off waiting for someone who has a car apart and can give you the measurement to the actual metal edge of the hole .
Base your measurement from the metal point ABOVE the windshield rubber.

Can you open the top and give the measurement to the edge of the hole? just wondering this is the only measurement that's a pain without a car to go off of.

I went outside and opened the top .
The piece of the ragtop that has the hole in it for the lock goes up and onto the top of the roof....
The measurement from the flat vertical metal with the lock hole to the front edge of the metal above the windshield is 5 1/2 inches .

I sent you a pm

My '61 is currently sans ragtop and mechanism. My measurement confirms that of GP's - 5½ inches.

Since I'm able to, I measured the distance of the rear edge of the opening to the rear window. It's just over 18" to the vertical surface.

jcarwile and I just had a phone conversation and decided that his TWO fold ragtop hole MIGHT be different than my three fold hole . Is your top cut for a two fold rag or three fold like mine
