Window cranks and rear view mirror

are the correct 67 ghia window cranks the same as 67 only bug ones? or are they ghia specific? I have a stash of 67 only bug cranks that will work but just not sure if they are the correct ones for ghias.

also, 67 ghia interior rear view mirror, any place reproducing them? or am i regulated to searching the classifieds forever in my hunt for one. the one in the car the plastic is broken and the mirror wont stay in the housing. i jury-rigged it for use, but need a replacement.

well i answered the window crank question, they look the same as 67 only bug ones. thanks everyone!

now about that rear view mirror thing....anyone...bueller..beuller...

63 is different for Ghia than bug. Big has a "bell" shape knob on crank and Ghia has a more angular knob. Not sure if that also applies to 67 but I doubt ghia and bug share many parts.

Rear view mirror repros if you want OEM look are not available. Going to have to look on classifieds

Good luck finding a 67 mirror with the black plastic back, I almost never see them and the one that turn up the plastic is always pretty bad. If you can find one. gobble it up. Maybe a fiberglass repair on yours. The back of 68+ mirrors are a close look but you would have to cobble to the earlier base. I dont think the attach points play together well either. I do see the pre 67 with the same housing/light and alum back on the mirror available. All the 67 rubber knobs on the dash are like beetle.

I thought the actual window crank knob that you grab with your fingers was different for the ghia compared to the bug, maybe they were the same but one year only for both.

You could get a 66 or earlier ghia rear view mirror, pretty sure the mounting points are the same.
Here's a 66 & a 67 for comparison.

Sorry, but that 67 mirror is going in my 67...though it will be a while before that happens!
