Marcel, measuring from the seat back mounting bolt hole center to the screw hole for the seat strap I get 18.0" (inches) .
Here are some pics.
This is measured on my 58 convertible- should be no change for a 60 convertible. |
Thanks for the measurements, Bret! Can't see the pictures though can you check your post? Oh, wait to early see them now. Thanks! |

Here it is shown in place ron the upholstered seat back, run a finge along the frame tube and you should be able to locate it.

This picture shows it in a VERY WRONG location for your 60 convertible marcel. It is a sedan seat back (tubing is bent much different from a convertible seat) and obviously later model looking at the upper metal luggage rail.
Go by the 3 pics I sent you of the seat frame in the previous post I just made. _________________ Official 58-60 "Early Big Window" Convertible Thread & Registry

Found it! Pfeww, still took quite a lot of poking
Now I need the proper lenght strap. The one I got is really too short but I think I found a source.
Thanks again Bret for your help! |

Ok I tried to locate the hole, if there is one , by feeling the upholstery around the area from the pic above but no luck. There is some padding so it is hard to feel if there is a hole. I also tried with a small screw driver but I am a bit hesitant to punch too many holes in my upholstery.
Does anyone have a pic of a bare rear seat frame of a convertible with the hole showing? |
Use a pin or needle not a screwdriver |
