|
|
I tried searching for this. Somewhere there is a picture of an inline radiator hose adapter with a bleed valve installed on a Bostig conversion. I'm looking for that part.
It was located at the top of the large hose where the new Bostig kits have a fill tower and radiator cap.
My Bostig/Zetec conversion is a mix of old and new. I have Bostig's billet aluminum thermostat tower that fits where the original Zetec thermostat sat on the rear of the engine. I would like to fit a bleed port at the top of the hose loop and have seen someone do this with a very nice aluminum port.
If you are that person or remember better than me which thread please help! _________________ Currently:

It is a custom Jaguar part.
IIRC the link is in Signal's amazing Bostig Syncro build thread.
The same place has site glasses and billet Ts to replace the plastic junctions. |

Sadly yes, needed to convert VW tin into finishing our house which has been under construction for five years. When we get this place finished and sell someday (house is already too big for us) I'll be looking for another Tristar or Doka. _________________ Currently:

Hmm, yes nice!
But I seem to remember another one that was only a bleed port (no sight glass) and came from Jegs or Summit? I've looked through their catalogs and haven't found yet. _________________ Currently:

I'll tell you, the sight glass is nice. I know it seems a little hokey, but I had to open the system a couple times for this or that and could see a bubble stop there and sit. Crank open the bleed port a hair and watch it rise right past the sight and done.
There are others, but I do like mine.

OK, I think thats the one I was thinking of. Must have missed it while looking through their catalog because it's labeled a hose drain instead of bleed.
I do remember that ad Christopher posted. I guess the sight glass does make sense for quick piece of mind.
Thanks. _________________ Currently:

Is that a 1 1/2 or 1/3/4 inch hose? |

I went the Summit route, mainly because I got free shipping (next day for me).
Mine's the AutoMeter Radiator Hose Adapter 2283 with a brass plug in place of the sensor adapter it came with (Ace). _________________ '88 Bostig Westy |
