I am having problems with drifting - I have a hard time keeping the car straight in its lane. I have replaced the ball joints, tie rods, steering damper, steering box and front torsion springs and have added casters.
I have had the alignment done twice but both times by the same shop and I haven't done the alignment since I put the casters in. I am running white spoke wide five 15" wheels with lt215/75 R15 tires.
I know a lot of people are running larger tires on their things has anyone else had these issues? Is this a tire issue, or could it be an issue with the wheel offset, or do i try another alignment at a different shop? |

I would try a different shop, it sounds like you don't have the correct toe in.

The Muir book has some good info if you want to give it a shot on your own. |

hmm just adjusted my camber/toe for the first time.
- to create drift by adjusting camber/toe you should do a VERY inaccurate job. Really.
- mines sport 185r14 so dunno if wider tires create more issues
that said, i would take a look by myself, measure and think, all in all its easier than you think _________________ Aug '58 pressed bumper SO23

I got the car back today and they were able to get the front done but the rear is still out of alignment. Anyone have any ideas on what I should be looking for?

For toe you may have to slot the spring plates longer, for camber you will have to re-index. |

Could be tires.
After I bought new Firestone tires for my Tacoma, I noticed that it wandered more than with old set.
Could move fronts to rears and see if it makes any difference. |

You know,
when I first saw this post I thought "drifting" was referring to
the racing they do full throttle in a "controlled" skid on a road track.
I searched and could only find the Bus doing a drift, but then I found
a THING "Drifting...right off the road!
Sorry, just being Silly!
