To me, make a good run for the day and neva mind the gauge and if the engine runs and idles good and smooth then you're good to go. You could go Sears and get a temp gun. I run a 2500 with only light on speedo and a gun and as long as my engine idle good I'm good to go. It's your engine not anyone else so you should know the symptoms and remember what not to do wen things come up.
