at 50/hr that gets you 6.5 hours of labor. plus materials...terminals, tape etc.
you might want to be willing to spread that wallet wider to sort thru that disaster _________________

Dude, you had the chance when I offered my services along with Telford Dorr. You chose to go cheap as I remember. Bummer for you. $325 isn't going to get it done. I think you guys will remember the hacked in brake switch shown in the poor quality pic. _________________ Lead Mechanic: San Diego Air and Space Museum

go here and download the wiring for your bus. Load to USB drive and take to local print shop to print several copies. One you keep clean, the others you can scribble on.
Then you pick a circuit and work on one at a time. As you go the mystery wires will reveal themselves. If you can afford it get a good crimper and some good German style spades of different types. Try to avoid the colored kind locally - not because they are not original but because on a bus they don't work as well as the originals. We can work with you on each circuit.
Second task. Pull the battery out now before you oops. If you don't have an ohm or volt meter get a cheap one. _________________ “Most people don’t know what they’re doing, and a lot of them are really good at it.” - George Carlin |

also look around in there as it may be there but flopping around.
You say you have an upright 1600 in it. Was this a European bus originally, or a North American one that an engine swap was done in? _________________ “Most people don’t know what they’re doing, and a lot of them are really good at it.” - George Carlin |

that photo is blocked where I am. He would need to look at the M-plate and stickers on the bus to know if an upright engine was original to that bus. That will depend on which wiring diagram he uses. It may even be that those wires hanging under the dash were used to convert the European wiring to North American. _________________ “Most people don’t know what they’re doing, and a lot of them are really good at it.” - George Carlin |

I love that picture!~!!!!! oh man! California lovin!
Anyway this is a regular US bus with a 1600 engine conversion, it was hippy moded! sh*t engine tin job and alternator isnt even hooked up... I bought an engine conversion tin from creativecraft co in Tennessee and plan on installing it once I fix my electrical issues...
I will look for in bulb insert but i really think the PO tore it out!
And Gary ...im still sorry about your driveway ...
also here is a pic of the Mplate??? (I think)
AH letters = engine from 73' 74' if im not mistaken
