I bought the car in Ignatio or Novato Ca.
It was in a warehouse where we kept our race car.
I saw it in 1974 and later bought it
My friend who wrote articles for a Porsche magazine ran the VIN
It was in the 1949 Munich car show as i was told
I can not remember the production #
I sold it around 1979. I talked to the president of VW of America club in LA CA.
Some guy that was a friend of his bought it
The car was not a high mileage car; cant remember what it was.
24 hp crash box cable brakes 2 ash trays 3 band radio oil temp dipstick
semafors all working and driving when i sold it

OK Mike,
Bruce Arneson, Walnut Creek, CA had just bought that blue metallic Hebmuller in November 1977.
He drove it to the VVWCA meeting (Nov 1977) in Culver City, CA at the Volkswagen Regional Headquarters there.
Between the time you sold it . . white wall "false-ies" had been put on . . .
These are the identifiers . . .
Please check out this thread for additional information !!
VVWCA Meeting . . Nov 13, 1977 Culver City, CA

I am so very excited to help with the Hebmuller research information . . .
But if you only knew, that I am limited, as I no longer have access, to the source of information,
to share with anyone, that I created, between 1970-1997, as it is now locked up in the Hebmuller Bible _________________ Hacksaw BoB

THANKS BoB.
That is Funny, I looked at the Bruce Arneson Heb next to yours in the pic and thought it was a different Heb as the color looked more Grey/Silver to me.
I did not sell the car. The sellers name was Jim. |

Who were the presidents in 1977 of the
VVWCA
VCA (VW Club of America)?
VVWCA (West) - Joseph Crockett (East) - Terry Schuler were during 5th anniversary meet. |

I ran the VVWCA (West) till 1979 when I moved to Germany
Then Gary Longworth took it over and a few years later, Joseph Crockett, then Jon Peters.
Also, Bill Pickering VVWCA (East) was there till 1980. _________________ Hacksaw BoB

The previous owner of this car sent me this pic. He says somewhere, he may
have 30 more pics.
He says, "It was from a car show in Terra Linda in about 75 or 76 ?
That is me [Previous owner Jim H./ before Bruce Arneson speaking] with red shirt and hat."
Can read the plate now - MBV- 568
