great deal on a westy shell!

Everybody...... PLEASE beware of this company!!! They have already advertised THREE buses that I bought and had in my possession AT THE MOMENT THEY LISTED THE AD!!

Everett has been notified..... but at this time his course of action is to remove the ads on a case-by-case basis.

Pretty shitty way to run an operation.....advertising OTHER PEOPLES cars for sale without the owners permission or knowledge!!

So if you send a "deposit" for a bus..... chances are they dont even have it in their possession!!! And good luck getting a refund or your money back...... Very Happy

Please beware!!!

Has to be a scam......right?

I deleted it due to abuse reports by a lot of members but I am not sure.

They got about 50 emails so I guess we will know soon enough...

Ah-ha, I suspected something like that might happen due to the popularity, if it was real

The other thing was she was probably offered full price for what she was asking and turned it down which is pretty dumb.

Show me a press bumper deluxe ( 15 or 23 window) in that shape for 27k and I will start shelling out one hundred dollar bills. For a single in that price range I would expect nice OG paint and real hoops and canvas. They kinda missed the mark on that one.

No. It's also a February '56 - not January.

Numbers freaks will pay primo for certain items. That is a lot to ask for a core engine, but....if you want a numbers matching restoration you might just pay close to that for the "peace of mind'. I have never understood paying $150K to win a $10 trophy at a car show. Then again, I don't understand fine art either.

I agree with you on the "numbers correct" thing but my opinion is that $1250 is high for a 1/56 engine that doesn't appear to have any of the correct 1956 stuff on it. It does have a Bus 36hp exhaust on it, which is not cheap if it's in good shape.

Earlier engines can be worth a good amount of money, depending on condition and completeness.
-1- (55 and earlier Bug) and -20- (55 and earlier Bus) engines.
