I got a '67 bug and the running boards were included in the purchase but not installed and did not have the hardware. This discussion http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?p=6781504 says the bolts for the running board to the body are "6mm x 1.0 pitch x 20mm L bolts with large flat washers".

But I haven't seen mention of the bolts for the running boards to bolt to the fenders. I can see from the picture here at WW http://www.wolfsburgwest.com/cart/DetailsList.cfm?ID=111821500 that they're larger and longer, 10mm x ??

Bolts for Boards to fender are 8mm x 1.25
