I think the only problem with my Wiper motor is that the nylon bearing / pivot point is missing. See pic. Is that little nylon piece available? Also the C-clip is broken and was in pieces in the housing.

Below the armature is a ball bearing that is often gets lost when a new guy take the motor apart asn without noticing drops this tiny ball bearing. Also this top screw is the armature adjustment screw. Turn carefully.. Recently there has been a new supply of Chinese motor armatures available. I have not held one in my hand yet. But I suspect that quality will be poor. The price ($50-$65) is out of my range to allow for an affordable rebuild.... Plus chinese quality VW electrical parts? |

The nylon screw is not available new. I can give you a used one if you want, along with the clip. You should have a space between the armature and the nylon screw equal to the thickness of a business card give or take. K-mann, you will be very disappointed if you buy one of the new armatures that are available now. As far as I know, they are single speed and are design to convert 6v to 12v motors that were single speed to start with. |
