These have shown up on ebay occasionally. They were well engineered vehicles for their time. A bus is just about the least practical vehicle to be electric...mostly due to aerodynamics (or lack thereof) and the weight. From what I found out a few years ago the original parts on these busses were very unique and some parts are no longer available. Converting to modern electric parts would be very complex and expensive. _________________ Larry in OB

Or, looking at it the other way 'round. A nearly ideal platform for an EV.
The VW has the capacity in space and weight, doesn't need to go fast, and besides all that, it's been done.

Lets save everyone else the trouble.
Ill bet you this jackass picked this thing up at a municipal auction for fifty bucks. Cleaned the broken glass out of it and ran the ad. |

Soooooo....if I pull the motor out of my bus and paint a plug on the side I can call it an EV minus the electric motor and all....$$$$$ *cha-ching*
