That turned out great! Good coverage, nice and even, and even fairly orange peel free. Really nice job.
But I disagree about painting it all at once. You would have gotten overspray all over everything. Just mask it up good minimizing/hiding the blend areas best you can. Keep your reducer nearby and if possible in a spare gun. If you find you get to a place that is not the greatest for hiding a blend, spray a very light coat of the reducer where the new paint and the old paint meet (do it right away while the new paint is still wet). That will burn them in. Be careful, its very very easy to create a run that way. Just a quick burst or fan feather of the reducer will blend them together.
You got this brother! |

Thanks man! That's what I was hoping to hear. I don't think it will be that hard to tie the jambs in either. I'm not that worried about it. I'm really happy with it. I'm by no means a pro but I think I have enough knowledge to make it right. I'm on vacation this week no no bug time til next Monday but I'll get back on the fenders and knock those out, get them in primer and get to getting on the rest. Thanks for all your advice and I'll be updating my build thread soon. link in my signature, check it out if you like. _________________ My First Bug Build:

May sound silly to you to hear that, but my first paint job was researched here and the bug was my first paint job. I am now the painter at a big high end restoration shop. Weird how things work out. |
