I have installed the interior handles before but the little pins continue to be a bitch to get in. Anyone have a tip for this? |

They can be tough to get started, with the spring pushing back at you from behind the panel. You really need three hands to get things lined up properly.
Try filing a slight taper on the end to get it started as you push it into its hole. The rolled pins may need a little smoothing along the shaft as well. Don't overdo them to a point where they no longer have a friction fit. |

Sure..
Get a long nail/punch nearly the same size as the pin .. and put it in from the opposite side of the actual pin..
It will hold the escutcheon compressed while you insert and seat the pin from the opposite side.
I will say .. new pins can be tight.. try it in both sides of the hole..
There always seem to be one way that's easier.
You can always have a helper hold the panel compressed as well.
Also.. test fit off the car.. to BE SURE it fits the hole..
Its pretty straight forward..
