None, when vw used the 3.88 r/p they also swapped to a .94 fourth gear. So the final ratio is the same as a 4.12 box. Late ghias got a 3.88 with a .89 fourth.
3.88x.94=3.65
4.12x.89=3.66

I use a super gear set in my '67 street car. 3,300 RPM at 70 MPH. 25" tires.

There are no transaxles or any gears or parts inside that were only used in Super Beetles.

The term "Freeway Flyer" is just a fancy advertising gimic and does not mean anything.

The term "Super Beetle" applies to latest model of IRS trans (typically 1973+), not limited to Super Beetles. Std beetles of the same years had them also. "Super Beetle" is just an identifying description.
