I'm not against technology. I knew I wanted Bluetooth which is why I visited several electronic and radio places. None of them mentioned the remedy Volkswagnut mentioned. With that adapter on my radio output, I'll have everything I want. Thanks for the help Volkswagnut!

Let us know how it works..

My 67 rolled out of Germany without a radio and no dealer ever installed one - it has a antenna plug and face-plate covering radio area -- I have been looking at options for my car but I do not want to install a radio or install an antenna -- I am considering the MVH-X380BT Digital Media Receiver
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/Digital+Media+Receivers/MVH-X380BT
I am hoping I can somehow mount it under the dash -- I'm not certain it will fit in the radio 'hole' (don't have size of it yet but it isnt deep) but if it can slip in the slot I will consider that -- it has no CD player and is designed to work with your phone via bluetooth -- this model has a front USB port that can be used to charge the phone, which is handy

Install speakers as normal -- this does have a radio/stereo in it as well but I dont think i have the need for that. It is only 95 bucks and will stream anything your phone can play.

OR i might just use that one in the in the '91 Cabriolet and do the sony wireless sound box in the Beetle - cant decide

Is this one better.. Confused

http://www.jbugs.com/product/3033.html

or this one

http://vwparts.aircooled.net/Hidden-Stereo-Glove-Box-1958-64-Beetle-00-3033-0-p/00-3033-0.htm

or maybe this one

http://chircoestore.com/vw-bug-body-trim-parts-c48...-slot.html

Yeah yeah.. I know..I know.. they all state.. 58-64.. but they fit 65-67 too...

As a matter of fact the dash opening size is the same.. 58 up... soooooo... pretty much all will fit.....with some tweakin'

It was mainly for inspiration to look around for ideas... not meant as a fits your car part.. Wink

I think I got it covered now though...
