My friend Bill built this in his garage in the early '90s...it had a Jag V12 engine and a Tornado fighter/bomber canopy...3 seats one behind the other and was street legal.
Drove it to work most days. |
Your friend doesn't work for Mattel as a Hot Wheels designer by any chance, does he? |

Is there something special about this emblem?
I can't remember for sure but it looks like one I sold a few years ago for like $40, which was perfect. |
Not especially...they're larger than the later decklid scripts (quick '55>'62 ID is "Karmann" is 12" wide) and perhaps more easily broken but there are nice repros for around the $140 mark. |
Thanks, maybe I had a later one. _________________ How to Post Photos

Well someone fell for it...7 hours later and it's been removed...presumed sold. |
He got one email telling him they were not lowlight so maybe he just removed it |
They were removed from a 57 I parted a few backs. Stupidly presumed they were lowlight. Lesson learned, apologies was not trying to "sell as lowlight by removing towel rail" as was accused. Not a ghia guy. Check my ads and feedback and that will tell the tale of my good standing ad a seller/buyer |

Yes, don't be worried about it (if you are).
The fact that you pulled the ad after being notified adds to your reputation in my mind.
It's the people that don't pull the ad or at least investigate what they were told that I consider shady.

Does this qualify? I thought $25k for a coil spring suspension Ghia coupe was high. I mean, it must have coil springs with no way to remove the torsion bars right?
