Drove it to work most days. Laughing

Your friend doesn't work for Mattel as a Hot Wheels designer by any chance, does he?

Is there something special about this emblem?

I can't remember for sure but it looks like one I sold a few years ago for like $40, which was perfect.

Not especially...they're larger than the later decklid scripts (quick '55>'62 ID is "Karmann" is 12" wide) and perhaps more easily broken but there are nice repros for around the $140 mark.

I wouldnt say the large early scripts are rare at all. They are desirable but like John said they are available repop. The repop almost indistinguishable to the originals. I paid $45 for my early script at a swapmeet in Fontana, Bug-in maybe.

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1830133

First, Is this a "lowlight" rear bumper?
To me it looks like a 70-71 because the hole where the short over rider would bolt thru.
70-71 being sold as lowlight because they took all the towel rails off. Nice.
$1200? Shocked

Well someone fell for it...7 hours later and it's been removed...presumed sold.

He got one email telling him they were not lowlight so maybe he just removed it

They were removed from a 57 I parted a few backs. Stupidly presumed they were lowlight. Lesson learned, apologies was not trying to "sell as lowlight by removing towel rail" as was accused. Not a ghia guy. Check my ads and feedback and that will tell the tale of my good standing ad a seller/buyer

Don't worry "candyman" all forums have these topics as you probably know. They're just a channel to let off steam and we often get it wrong at the seller's expense. No stain on your character Wink

Yes, don't be worried about it (if you are).

The fact that you pulled the ad after being notified adds to your reputation in my mind.

It's the people that don't pull the ad or at least investigate what they were told that I consider shady.
(This is rare but it does happen)

Does this qualify? I thought $25k for a coil spring suspension Ghia coupe was high. I mean, it must have coil springs with no way to remove the torsion bars right? Confused
