So I have completed the wood walls on my Puck, and have the 8x4 sheets ordered for my ceiling. They will be held up by center tension from the bend and fastened on the ends. I'll post some pictures when I have them done.
I have made some great progress on my restoration, and am working on making a new front window today. Should be done within the next couple of months! |

Well I am back to the Puck scene... well kinda.... 3/4 there. 
As some of you may remember, I owned an early 1970s Eriba Puck and posted various Eriba Puck posts in past years doing bearings, redoing my stove, making my rims and propane tank pretty, etc.....
Then I was stupid and sold it. Always seem to regret selling but it seemed right at the time.
Anyway, as some of you may have seen, a company down in San Diego makes an Eriba Puck replica. I had hoped to find a good used Puck to buy again but they seem to be far and few these days so I decided to spend the money and buy a Meerkat.
Just picked it up last week and it will be a fun small camper that I am sure will bring us years of fun and rekindle the Eriba Puck love I once had.
I know it is not the real deal but these guys have done a nice job replicating a Puck and I am a happy new owner.
If you are all game, I may post my adventures here every now and then.

She is a beauty, good to have you back.
So you made the trek to San Diego to pick her up? Must be wild to see a version of your old Puck free of dents, tears, and with everything working LOL. 
I must say, they've done a great job of replicating them.
They don't seem to be pushing them on the "Little Guy" tear drop site, Have they moved on from producing them?
How did she tow? As you remember it?

hello all, IM an new PUCK owner!!!! I've had my puck for 2 weeks. Had it out once with the family and the only complaint...why can't we camp longer. I've also enjoyed reading all 84 pages of this form to discover ways to improve/restore my new caravan. Couple question does anybody have an electrical diagram that includes transformer, on board battery charger,120v and 12 volt? Are there any ERIBA/Puck owners in Minnesota/Minneapolis that I can connect with? Thanks in advance for your responses.

Welcome!
Great looking 60's Puck with the square door! I bet you had a lot of inquiries on your camp out. Puck's always seem to draw attention where ever they're found.
Hope you find someone local to hang with, these old German trailers are scarcer than Hen's teeth. If rallies are your thing, may want to hook up local teardrop guys or fiberglass people.
Vintage trailer rallies are fun, and you meet all kinds of cool laid back people.
We went to our first in Hemet Ca., and had a blast. Wasn't sure how our little trailer would be received among the cool restored American classics, Shastas, Spartans, Airstreams ect.) Everyone was welcoming and curious about the trailer.
Have fun with it and expect to be a bit "On Display" where ever you go.

That is a bitchen setup! How about driving with the bus towing the trailer, is it a big drain on power and what about the wind? We have psyco wind here, can yours be driven in weather?

Red Fau Veh Thank you! There is some noticeable difference in power, My engine is a fresh rebuilt 1600sp with the big bore kit, 55 mph is a comfortable speed, though I can push just over 60 mph if needed.
I haven't yet encountered much wind with this setup and I wouldn't say it can be driven in weather, only because of the safari windows .... They Leak!!!

Yes was a very long haul but worth it.
They still make them but I don't think they have sold tons of them. I was toldmy 2015 model was #25. As they started selling them in 2013 I think, you can kind of do the math.
Some things I miss is grab handles at all 4 corners but at 900 pounds, it is easy to move around anyway. But maybe I will figure out one day how to get handles on mine.
It tows nicely. Same as the puck did.
I have a couple issues driving it home of things that need to be fixed but they seem to be taking care of me so we are good. Just things that could have been tightened better kind of issues.
They have not made tons and tons of these so I am sure each one they learn something a little more.
Things I miss is the older style push out windows. Wish the new one had that. Like the door vent on older ones as these news ones don't have that. Stove not built in and you just use any old butane stove on the counter. I did get the ice box though so that is cool.
The bed is nicer than the puck. What Little Guy did is create a roll out bed slates. So, instead of putting the two dowls on and making the bed that way, you pull out a set of slates that goes the length of the bed. Like a roll up garage door. Then you pull the cushions on it.
So the cushions have no wood support in the like the Pucks do. Both a good and bad thing I think. I broke one slate sitting my fat butt down too hard I guess. I think they needed to use beefier boards towards the front so it can handle more weight. Things they can fix over time.
I think it will serve us well. Not cheap but I think worth it still. It is all new after-all.
I need to figure out an awning for mine.
BTW, you have a nice Puck there. Who did stove R&R. hehe
Miss it but looks to be in better hands than what I had. I did my best though with what I had.

Can you tell me how this awning connects to your puck?
Close up pictures maybe of the connections?
Anyone else able to show off how you are connecting awnings to your pucks?
Yours looks really nice.

Picked up this Puck a couple of months ago. A few pics just playing around with it in the back yard. It's not hooked up to the bug, just trying to see what it looks like.

Cool Americana camp stuff, check
Man, you're set. That's a good looking display right there. Crowds at a trailer rally would eat that thing up.
All you need is an awning, and some bunting.
"Marti's Awnings" is where we got ours.
The Puck looks to be in excellent shape, Did you import it yourself?
