Daanbc,

Any help on the wiring? I ordered the switch and all that came was a switch in a baggie. Looks nice.

There are five terminals:
+ positive
- negative
C ???
NO normally open
NC normally closed

I understand to hook up + and - to the 12 volt supply (likely for the light). The NO should go to the horn.

What about C?

Thank you, Jeff

The + and - are for the light. The horn connects to the "C" and "NO". Nothing is connected to the "NC"

C = common
NO = Normally open
NC = Normally closed

Don't forget to add the resistor.

As a precaution use a 1/2 watt resistor on the + side. This way the LED won't blow. You can get 25 of them from amazon for $4.26 ( E-Projects - 470 Ohm Resistors - 1/2 Watt - 5% - 470R )

I just soldered them in line then covered them in heat shrink/wrap.

Very cool button! I was looking for the actual button for my steering wheel but can't find one. I may just fab one up and use the one you are showing. I too prefer it on the wheel, as some have said. Here is what I "rigged" till then. Smile

You could place that button on the roll cage and use your knee to hit it.

Had a friend in high school (around 1974) that had the horn button under the carpet on the floor of his 1962 Impala SS. 2 pedals in that car too! Cool
