well i tried it and the only difference: its harder to get into reverse...the grind continues.

i am willing to believe its catching reverse in my shift but the "by the book" method didn't yield any improvement

yes. new shift rod bushing and coupler arrived wednesday.

going to try another stop plate first (yes i am delaying the inevitable. my newly upholstered back seat is a bear to get in and out lol)

the current stop plate is not the original.
