Hey everyone, just picked up a 76 fuelie that I am trying to clean up, has anyone ever eliminated the test plug in the engine compartment from the factory wiring harness? Trying to get it as clean and simple as possible. Thanks!

Chop the wires and remove.

I removed the diagnostic plug from my '74 super beetle. I had to chase every wire attached to the plug and removed the other end from the wiring harness. Not a difficult job as long as you identify where every wire ends.
