Building my first engine from a bunch of non running engines and parts. So far have long block 1600 Dual Port assembled.

Trying to decide on my options for distributors and carbs. Have two distributors that look to be in decent shape. The carbs are in VERY poor shape, so will likely buy new or rebuilt.

The two distributors are 113 905 205 AN DVDA and 113 905 205 T SVSA.

Based on this engine, which would be the best distributor?

What carbs match up best with these two distributors?

Thanks for any advice!

A new 34 PICT 3 coupled with an SVDA (single vacuum advance) distributor such as a bosch 034 is perfect.

If you've decided you're definitely gonna run one of those two distributors, I'd go for the DVDA with a 34pict-3 and just plug the retard port (effectively making it an SVDA).

Good luck on the build, man!

Oh, and welcome to the Samba!

If you go with the 113 905 205 T distributor you will want a 30 PICT series carburetor not the 34 PICT. The vacuum signal is not correct for the 34 PICT carburetor.
