My personal suggestions as follows:
Friday night
Camp at Rare & Unique if you can tolerate noise/light
or
Spend the night at LaQuinta (I think is the name of this chain motel) right next to BB or try to hang out at both
Saturday night
Camp at the Bug Jam (especially worth it if swapping) as you can set up the night before and spend the night right at the same spot (what I did last year)
or
Spend the night at one of two Hotels where many BB guys stay/hang out at off of I-75 on SR54
If you happen to arrive early say Wednesday or Thursday I suggest camping at either Ft. Desoto (closer to BB) or Turtle Beach Campground (closer to R&U).
Cheers,
Tomasz

Can someone break down the different places to stay? I know this is a two day event in two different locations. Driving down from NJ and don't mind camping. |

November 07, 2015 – Bulli Brigade XXII
Clearwater, Florida
Bulli Brigade XXII, America’s longest running ’50 – ‘67 Volkswagen Type II event.
On Nov. 7, 2015 Bulli Brigade XXII will be back in Clearwater, Florida from 8:00am – 2:00pm.
Location: Quaker Steak and Lube, 10400 49th St N, Clearwater, FL 33762
Quaker Steak & Lube is located 17 miles from Fort De Soto campground and 9 miles from the KOA. For more information about the venue, follow the below link.
http://thelube.com/locations/florida/pinellas-park-clearwater/
Registration Fee: $10 - You may register your bus on the day of show or you can pre-register.
Pre-registration was a large success last year in expediting entry into the show area. Pre-registration will be available again by following this link. http://www.kandlmotorsports.com/showform.htm
Please enter “Bulli Brigade” in the event name field.
Vending Fee: $25 - The vending area will be located within the show area this year on the north end of Quaker Steak and Lube adjacent to the stage and outside bar area.
Host Hotel: Please mention “Bulli Brigade” when registering to receive the group rate. La Quinta Inns & Suites (5000 Lake Blvd, Clearwater, FL 33760. Telephone, 1-727-299-9800) the show rate is $69.
Quaker Steak & Lube owner, Bill Church, has again offered to open their doors early to provide a Buffet style breakfast at a reasonable cost. The venue, as seen from the web link, offers many opportunities previous sites have not. If you were not able to make it last year I trust you will have a great time! With that being said, it is a parking lot show and although it has 300 available spaces plus 200 additional overflow spaces, vending everything you’ve ever owned will not be feasible in the actual show area. (Please keep the super beetle fenders at home or save them for
the Bug Jam)
Spectator parking: $5 parking fee per vehicle will be collected to help offset the lot rental and associated insurance fee.
There will be a 50/50 raffle.
Show categories: Custom, Stock, Vintage, Passenger, Commercial, Best Breakdown, Longest Distance, and Promoters Choice.
Please spread the word, drive safe, and we’ll see you soon!
For more info: Call or shoot me a text Robert Kennedy 904-501-3586
T-Shirt sales will be at approximately 10:30am
A much briefer Awards Presentation will be at approximately 1:00pm |

Woot woot, less than 2 months to go. I am booked at the LaQuinta for Thursday and Friday night (Thursday's weekly car show at Quaker Steak is pretty cool) and am booked at the Bug Jam host hotel for Saturday night. Fingers are crossed my 66 panel will be ready in time! See you all there!

Yep I almost waited to late this year myself.
Just called Fort De Soto and they have NO sites
left.
Called La Quinta and got the second to last room.
All they have left is a room with double beds.
Get it fast!! _________________ 67 single cab |
