Saturday shows are the best! This is one thing shows in NJ, PA, and the lower part of the East Coast do well and I'm glad this show is doing it too. _________________ Arachibutyrophobia- Fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of the mouth.

One benefit of finding a camping location now is that we will be slightly off peak season. Im checking available camping locations too..
Closest camp to show, Branch Brook Campground, in Thomastown, CT (860)283-8144. http://www.branchbrookct.com/ Do not know what availability is ???
Cheapest camping; White memorial Point Folly.(860)567 0089 Lithfield,CT $18.00 night Excellent on the edge of the lake camping. Would estimate at least a dozen sites available out of 3 dozen total. NO SHOWERS.... pit toilets.... Beautifull sunrise and sun sets, you wont be disappointed. Kind of unstructured supervision.http://www.whitememorialcc.org/campgrounds.html
Best all around forest camping: American Legion STATE forest, Barkamstead. Tonight 13 out of 34 camp sites available as of tonight. Requires to be reserved in advance(Reserve America)(cost to reserve $10) plus $17.00 night ct resident or $27.00 out of state. Rules Kind of say no alcohol ? Most sites are very wooded and secluded from each other and close to a clean fast moving river. Very Forest like camping. Twenty+ minute drive to show
Maybe if others could chime in on what their interests are, and if We can determine how many people maybe interested in camping (what night(s) Friday, Saturday or both ) it would help make a decision on where.
There maybe another solution if enough campers are interested. We maybe able to rent a private/public small park for group camping. I'll call them in the mean time, and find the details. I'll report back if needed. There is not much time.
How well has the word been spread that there will be no camping at the show? Is there going to be others who do not see this post?

White Pines has the field available as of now. Not sure on the exact details. Sounds like the field is good for up to 24 people, depending on group sizes. $47.00 for a site with up to 6? people. Camp anticipates vacant sites the weekend of the show due to time of our show being off season. |

White Memorial Camping:
Public boat launching facilities are available at our Marina. Campers may launch boats from our launch for a reduced charge and Point Folly campers may moor boats near their campsites |

I'm hoping others will be camping on Friday or Saturday night the weekend of the show. I live locally, but rather go camping with other vw show people. Who has reserved camping and where? I really think reservations should be made within the next few days. So please post if you are camping and where. PM or post here. This may also help others making a decision an where they are camping. Thanks, ---R--- |

There is a Super 8 and a Quality Inn in Torrington. About 15 minutes from the show. |
