Hi all,
I'm currently preparing my 69 for painting.
I getting close, hopefully this weekend to removing the chrome side trim to rub down lower doors etc.
I've popped off the two furthest forward, obviously easy, but how to I remove the clips? Is it a matter of pliers and pull? Twist and pull? They are the original so I don't know how delicate they are.
Any advice welcome.
Thanks

Are you planning on re-using them Andy?
I think the hot tip in reinstalling side trim in bullet proof fashion is to use the "EddieRayWay". Highly recommended.
Starts bottom of page 3.

Hi Darrel,
Haven't got a problem getting the trim off, or back on as its all original. Just haven't tried getting the clips out of the body panels to sand panels. Are they just pushed into holes in body or is it a bit more difficult than that. I'll have a play this weekend and just hope that I don't break any!!

push the center pin all the way through. Then the clip will come right out.
