I recently inherited a set of Mercedes wheels with tires 225 75 15". Wondering if anyone out there is currently running them with the standard springs?

I have all the spacers, studs etc. from the previous owner who had them on Go Westy 1.5" lift kit.

Any clearance issues?

Thanks

That's a tall tire, if you have a stock waterboxer your bigger problem is the power to turn them, even if they fit. 4th gear is going to suck...

All depends on the rim I would think.

yep..
Varying MBZ rims come in offsets between 20 and 37ET...

If its the common "Euro-look" @ ET25, then a 225/75r15 very well may rub on the top of the wheel well on deep compression with tire turned out.. not just "rub," actually.. but gouge pieces of rubber out of the tire.. as in cutting them up.

If its the ET37, then the tire and/or rim will be very close to or actually making contact at rest with the upper control arm..

ET30-32 is the "zone", but you may still need some fender rolling to prevent tire chop/ fender bang.

Report back what you decide and what you experience in the process so that others can learn.

There is power to turn the bigger tire, BUT.. you will have to downshift earlier on grades.. and eventually you run out of HP on steep steeps or at high altitudes (or any combination there-of.

Big tires and lifts will come with the added expense of lower mpgs.
