I know of 1 its a 67 but never got painted in the green or sign writing. Its driving though which is a plus.
Here is some pics of an other Irish panel unearthed recently. Or should I say dug out of the ground recently. There are very few Irish CDK split buses/vans remaining. I know of less than 20 but that is subject to change.

Mid and smaller upper side support removed. Just need to replace them now.
Wasn't sure how to deal with these rust holes. They seem to have been caused by water getting trapped behind the inner supports. I need to sort them out before putting in the new supports.
What the holes looked like after removing some paint.
Need to start saving some original metal now so I cut out as little as I could.
Almost there just needs a little filling the a bit of hammering.
One in but lots more to come and of course I didn't get a picture of it all cleaned up, next time.
I just need to fit the last of the smaller supports and the long side is almost complete.
Custom clamps to keep everything tight.
Last of the inner supports now in. Going to finish these off and get hacking the roof off .
Cut the front of the roof off. I have been reluctant to do this as it doesn't look anything like a bus now. I will try my best to get the donor roof on as soon as I can.
I then removed the remaining bits of roof and gutter from the long side.
Its better than I expected it to be to be honest. I little repair but not much.
Only the very back above the rear hatch remains. I had to stop myself cutting it all off. I am edger to replace the roof as it doesn't look anything like a split van at the moment. But I might as well get as much of the rear interior area complete with good lighting before the roof goes back on and darkens the area again.
To that end I was never happy with how the rear tube met the short side panel. So I am going to redo that edge. So I removed some of the short side. When doing so I remembered how much hassle I had making up the lower c post. I think I made it 3 times before settling. Well I will be doing it yet again as it looked rough from the inside. I could see myself sitting in the van some day with a beer in hand and cursing the fact that I settled with such a rough job. So I have given up trying to make it and just bought the lower panel. I don't remember there being so many options of panels to chose from when it was done 8 years ago.
So while I am waiting for the c -post I will remake the outer edge of the rear tube. I am always at least 2 steps back before going 1 forward.
I am trying to improve the standard as I go along. its getting slightly better but the standard was so low it can only get better.

I do have an other short side panel so didn't mind cutting it out .
Some panels are worth making, but some its just a lot easier to buy unless you have the skills which I don't.

Isolation has motivated me to get back to this long forgotten project. Started back at it 3 weeks ago.
Roof now on as is the front panel. Filling in the front now. doglegs are in , Tubs in moving on to the front floor tomorrow.
Great to be back at it.

We finally have a floor, most pedals hand brake and gear stick.
Its come a long way although it has taken a long time.

A little progress. spend the week playing with the cargo doors. nearly finished the short side then its on to the rear which is still a mess.
Nothing lining up right. belt line way off in all directions.
Ended up removing 3 hinges and trimming the doors. Everything had been bent and twisted over the years, not to mention the previous repairs that I did years ago that I had to undo.
Not perfect but a lot better.
Starting to look like a van.

Been working away but now waiting on some panels before tacking the rear end . Its still a mess back there.
I'm getting into some of the mechanical bits now in preparation of having a solid shell. I have stripped the original beam and its much better than I had expected. it's all usable. waiting on adjusters as I'm not going for stock height. I am loving low and slow these days.
Sourced some of the missing pieces. Now have an engine and box or at least the makings. I'm going for straight axle conversion.
Bought a rotten bug locally as it was the only way to score an engine and box without leaving the house. Been locked in for weeks now. Bug had been off the road since 1999. It took about an hour to get it to run and stop. Drove ok considering. I just wanted to confirm the engine would run and that It had all the gears. Was shocked by the little motor. Replaced the points and that was it. Starts first turn of the key, the engine barely does a revolution ,idles its amazing.
Donor bug
using an old 67 rear chassis to mock up the conversion
straight axle conversion coming together.
My Rat Ghia for no other reason than I might be going for a similar look with the bus, Im undecided
