so, looks as though i have developed a leak on the driver side of the fuel tank. there was a recall on this and looks as though the recall is over. is there something i can seal the leak with or do i have to replace the tank. If I have to replace the tank is this a pretty difficult thing to do? I don't have a repair book yet and waiting on it. thanks |

JB weld. mix it, out spread it out good (not too thin), let it dry, re fill slowly.
best to do when its not driping...but it can be done. |

It's best to replace the tank, but it's ultimately your decision.
To replace the tank, the rear beam needs to be dropped. This will give you an idea of what's involved: http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?4819077-...st64787511 . _________________ ~Kamz
