Hi Steve in NJ
That is a neat Hebmuller photo especially with those fender skirts and that 60s Buick (?) in the background
Any details about the Hebmuller in the photo

Bob,
This was originally thought to be #401, but now has been identified as most likely #423. (Thanks Peter)
I believe you know my father, Ken Swan. He remembers the "Bible" This is his car.

Hi Steve in NJ . . .
Thanks for the update
Yes, I do remember your father, Ken Swan . . .
I know that he sent me some additional photos of his Hebmuller from back in the 1980s.
They would be in the Hebmuller Bible as well . . . _________________ Hacksaw BoB

Yesterday I was in a city archive here in germany, while searching about the beginning of the early german Vespa production and found this.
It is an article of about 50 Hebmüller for the export to Switzerland.
The pic was also shown here...but maybe someone likes it with text.
It was a newspaper from late 49 I think. |

Rheinische Post.
My camera was nearly empty...so I don´t have the exact date.
December ´49 I think.
It is sometimes really helpful to ask some city archives, which nearly every bigger city has. They often have old pics or older articles.
I would say to Hebmüller, there will be newspaper articles in the older papers from that period. You can mail them a mail and ask what is there or not.
So for Hebmüller than the cityarchive Wuppertal I would say.Maybe easier for a german to call there... |

Been there... not in person but by mail. All the info they have is the info they got from the family by Klaus Hebmuller. And that info I have also. Nothing spectacular. I wanted to find out more on the fire in 49.. Nothing, not even at the fire brigades in that area... Guess it was to long ago. This article I will translate for Bob Gilmore. And will post it here also. We will keep you folks updated. Behind the scenes there is already some work one... More news will be send out soon _________________ Zelensis, glassfibre body made in Belgium , disigned and built on a VW platform About 25 body's built.

aerosilver, It is hard to see but I think it is just a chopped beetle. The doortops on the frontside on a heb are different shaped and goes slightly upwards. _________________ Zelensis, glassfibre body made in Belgium , disigned and built on a VW platform About 25 body's built.
