Thanks Oxsign for the kind words.
started by gluing the front part of headliner in place and setting the windshield. Not as bad as I thought it would be. It helps when you have 2 buddies come over to help out.
I will try ti finish the install this weekend.
Bob, the windshield seal went in with no issues. |

Cool, I'm happy for you. I must have gotten the crappy seal from them. Wouldn't be the 1st time either. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Thanks Bob, I'm glad it turned out good to. How do you cut and paste previous post in new post?
Did some more streching and gluing on Saterday. The headliner is coming out sweet.
Also recieved my NOS rear view mirror. Thanks John.
Visors clips and pinch welt came in from ISP. Thanks Anthony
Scored some 68,69 only window cranks as well.
Still waiting on my NOS mudflaps. Thanks Ian. |

Thanks Erick, it's been slow but I have been taking every opertunitty to get in the garage and work on it. I almost farmed the headliner out but I'm glad I didn't. Now I can add headliner install to my book of knoladge. 😊 Should have the headliner completed on Saterday. |

Ok guys looking for some help here. Now that my headliner is almost complete I'm looking to make a decision on my interior color. I'm looking at either a grey or a tan to go with the dove blue. I want to do a early vw stich to go with the Dove blue. the interior will be 2 toned with the off white of my headliner either as a stripe down the center of the seat and door panel or off white piping. want to mimic the late 50 early 60 bug interior.
Thanks Leo |

TMI did most of it, for some reason they couldn't do the 82 Scirocco seats correctly... Twice.
So I had a local shop cover them with fabric I purchased from TMI _________________ http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/manuals/jim_martin_engine_build.php

Thanks tram, I did notice after u pointed that out.
Well the headliner is in allong with the visors rear view mirror and rear hing covers. It looks good if I do day so myself.
I placed my TMI order on Friday. I ordered the deluxe carpet kit in light grey with black vynle binding. I will also add coco mats. The door panels will be light grey in vinal. I almost added the bug arm rest but decided to go with no arm rest since i have the OG EMPI door pulls. And the seats will be light grey tweed down the centers with a light grey vynle edges and a off white piping. I ordered this all threw a local shop. Can't wait to get it all . 2-4 weeks if I'm lucky. |

That should look good inside, and compliment the outside color Leo. On my Notch, I went charcol gray velour on my seats, and black carpet (TMI), and I wanted to do the door panels in charcol gray vinyl, but they (TMI) sent them in velour as well. Not exactly what I wanted, but it still looked good for 10+ years. Now the top of the rears and bottom of the door panels is coming apart (dogs and people who can't lift their feet getting in caused that). One of these days I'll re-glue it back together, or just replace it (haven't decided which yet).
My wife's Orange Fastback got charcol gray velour seats with black vinyl door panels and black carpet (TMI), and it works very well together. Other than a little sun fade on the tops of the seats, it still looks good, since it's been in place since 1990. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof
