I know I've bookmarked at least half a dozen topics but I just went to my bookmarks list and there are only two of them there. Do they go away if you don't look at them for some time? _________________ 83 1/2 Westy waterboxer

Nope. Nothing in a watch list. I may have clicked the 'bookmark' link a second time but I doubt it. If I do it again maybe it'll show back up. I'll try. _________________ 83 1/2 Westy waterboxer

WHERE do these bookmarks go? Are they in my main browser bookmarks list?, or a section of my TheSamba 'account'? Maybe they are right in front of my face? I've been a member for a lot of years, have never "seen" where they are. Everytime I click "bookmark" I kinda hit the brick wall of nothingness. Kinda like the way "Apple" works nowadays…. Because no joy was obtained I just forget about it until next time and the cycle repeats.
Anyway, this time I need to solve it, so help with a hint of how to access a bookmark, anyone? _________________

OK found it thanks.
Curious why the site bookmarks are not in the "HOME" pulldown under "my bookmarks" (similar to Gallery "my photos"). Members see the button on the bottom, and they see "my bookmarks" in the HOME pulldown. They put it together, and are happier with their TheSambsa experience.
The site would be friendlier to members. As it gets bigger and bigger, more searching etc, those user actions probably load down the site unnecessarily. Less server-intensive methods to allow members to zero in on stuff may reduce site-loads?
Just offering feedback/ideas. Hope it's useful. _________________

If it was there it would be in the Forums menu since it's a Forums thing.
It's not there because it was an infrequently used item and I never thought about adding it.
I think people actually use the Watchlist more than Bookmarks?
Feedback welcome from anyone on that subject. _________________ How to Post Photos

Glad you're interested. 100% agreed the "FORUMS" is a better place, (has "My Posts" there).
The watch list is all I have EVER used. But when researching problems I'd use bookmarks if it was clear how it works. Bookmarking (until today) was like "null data" so I just never learned to use it. Would be nice it there was a mouseover on the button telling you where to FIND the bookmark.
I am interested in bookmarks because there are members on the forum who post actual LINKS (to be helpful) and I am thankful for those members. Other members enjoy sending you off on a wild goose chase, which is annoying but at least sometimes I can glean a search term from their post.
Can you ADD another pulldown called "My Stuff"? My photos, My PMs, My Bookmarks, My profile? I suppose leave all the other "My ***" where they are. I think if you add features to make the forum friendly to new members it attracts more members. Leave the current links where they are or current members get fussy. I get annoyed when the rug is pulled out from under me, and it happens a LOT. _________________

Just my 2 cents, but almost all of your list (plus more) is easily found on your control panel . The contriol panel link is at the top of every page.
The PMs are a separate link right next to the control panel at the top of every page. _________________ Donate to TheSamba.com

I did not think to look in the control panel, because a list of bookmarks doesn't seem like a "control".
I bet members will use them if they are listed in the website features. _________________
