I hit a car show at Mt Washington where most of us hit the asscess road up the mountain. It would be fun to take my bug there but something tells me that would me difficult maybe impossible for a stock aircooled vw. |
Maybe it's different now,
But in the eighties don't even think about driving one in a GM/Ford/Chrysler town, which would mean most major cities in the Midwest.

Why? That is exactly how it should be done.
Unless my VW was nearly priceless, I would take it anywhere I wanted. There are places I wouldn't go in any car, at any time, though. Has nothing to do with the car, and everything to do with self-preservation.

I've been up Mt. Washington twice on a bicycle. I'd have no problem doing it in a VW. I understand it's all paved now.
