I got this older split speedo pod for a standard split? or so I think. It has a L part number on the back as you see in the picture. The key code is odd?? like HU and so is the key (maybe after market)? Is this a 1949? or 1950?

Not sure, is from a STD model
If you do not need it, I would be interested to buy it for my Split.
PM me and we can talk.

If you make a better pic of the whole rear side, I am sure here are people around wich are able to tell you if that is bus or beetle.
And if you suspect it to be bus you might better ask in the bus forum? _________________ Master of my domain! |

There is usually a date code stamped on the ground fork. I can see just bit of it on the right side in one of your pics. Being that it is on the right, it is a '49 and later pod.
Some pods (rare ones) don't have date codes on the ground fork. _________________ John Henry

Also, looks like a P profile key, not an A profile, but it could have been changed out.... _________________ John Henry
