In addition to my '70 Westfalia hearse which will be converted to a small show sleep over / mobile bed / mini-caravan I bought me another Westfalia hearse seen here: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6...highlight=

Since the '70 was the last year with the bubble top this one is 1 year earlier and has significant differences despite having the same roof

The main differences are:

- blinded windows with decals palm leaves
- different wrap around side trim
- type shield on the head instead of on the RH side
- different old-style tow hook system
- wire for the plug through the central beam
- 5 lug 13" wheels
- leaf spring setup with seperate shocks
- entire wooden floor - even the couffin roller assembly
- due to the spring leaf setup very high inner wheel whells
- different shape of wheel opening - more squared of instead of fluid
- inside spare wheel overhead wooden plateau instead of under the RHS floor
- spaced out attachment hooks along the roller rails

Some other typical features:

- 2 door with locking handle - hence the ventilation holes at on the head and on the doors
- short 2 meter type
- since it has doors it has the numberplate on the LHS door under the OG Westfalia number plate light
- it even has a wired in interior light on the LHS door which I assume was to get noted when the LHS door is open

Took me a 4 hour single trip to Germany last Wednesday and bought it from the previous owner who had it registered till last 2014 through its just closed due to retirement funeral company

At the moment it will stay as is and will only change the not OG hubcaps to OG ones

A lot of extra detailed photos can be found in the gallery

Some already here to enjoy Smile
