Are type 4 heat exchangers available? I cant seem to find a source
or cost.

They are here at Mid America Motorworks. They definitely appear to be bus...but they should fit with some minor mods. I dont know about quality.

There are more. Ask in the bay bus forum about 1.7/1.8L heat exchangers.

Expect to pay $300-$400 each for new. Ray

Thanks for the info. I am being offered some original type 4 NOS heat exchangers for 300ea. I thought it was a lot to pay! I guess it's the going rate? I may go with a tuned exhaust and save some cash! I can still afford a sweater....
