The post is missing some information, like the name of the club, to know whether we recognize the club or not.
Your location is New River, as in New River West Virginia?
There was some noise about starting a VW club in West Virginia early in the year, was this the fledgling club you joined? |

Lots of them have telephones-----you could try calling. Or send Glenn Ring, Bart Dunn, or Jeff Hicken a private message right here on theSamba. |

I am not sure what is up with VVWCA or Howard they are a legitimate organization with a nice publication every other month
but they are a grass roots organization and nto all in one geographical location. so if life becomes extra hard it may delay communications.
we have a few members from our local club inquiring to VVWCA delays as well.
hang in there, they're not intentionally having any issues with time/money or communicating. I do not believe any of them are here on The Samba.
I am also trying to investigate.
Dan

Great club and outfit for many years. The problem I see now is that almost no one cares about vintage VW's or original cars. If the club is having trouble it is directly due to the home made bastards, cut ups. dune buggies and cars with little or no original parts on them. This is a majority of owners. VVWCA fifteen years ago had a following of owners who actually cared about what a VW restoration meant, The older guys who had the skills and love for the VW are dead and gone unfortunately. What we have left is many ( not all) owners that are are juveniles at best. They have a few bucks, know nothing about VW history or heritage and generally can't correctly spell three words in a row.
Howard Query has his hands full. Good man. E-mail him. |

thanks Paul,
I've been interested in the club for years and have talked to Jeff at Central Jersey a couple of times about joining but info has been scarce. Us old men with no money need to get back together. _________________ John

I'm a little late on the band wagon but that explains a lot. Howard was only 62. He will be missed. _________________ Dave
