And on a second note - My friends in Los Skarnales invited a bunch of us to be in their new video. We recorded Sunday afternoon - Lots of beer and lots of water was consumed. It should come out awesome, I'll post the video when it's done (should only be a few weeks)

The Who. Tonight. Atlanta. Joan Jett is opening. Going with a friend who is the instigator of this and is paying, otherwise I likely would likely not have chosen to go. But, should be fun. _________________ "You're either on the bus, or you're off the bus." ~kk

Went to see English Beat last night in a small club. The band was tight, and put on a good show. I don't think I would go see them in a big venue, but being able to sit at a table and drink, then walk up and dance three feet from the band was fun.
The bar refusing to give us any water after spending a bunch on beer was douchey, and we let them know. _________________ The consequences of your decisions should not be confused with fate. |

Fast..fast 48 hr turn around from NC to O-HI-O.. to see the Brian Setzer Rockabilly Riot (Squad) and George Thorogood and The Delaware Destoyers.
Two different headliner shows and styles..
Setzer when playing Rockabilly style.. is much more traditional with that simple and traditional driving rock sound.
Tight stage setting and can actually hear every instrument (Guitar, Slap Bass, Piano, Drums).
Not over blaring.. plenty loud.. perfect IMO..(of course Im a biased fan)..
GT, more modern Rock sound ( not hair band but) . Louder, more flash, more lights, more stage, yet a simple stage. Lots of black and good lighting.
Much better than I had anticipated.. entertaining and seemed to enjoy working the crowd for a response. Mick Jagger like mannerisms. The sounds did get a bit mashed together at times especially if the 2 main guitars were going..
Thats just good ole' rock and roll..
Worth the trip...
Not everybody's cup of tea... but I like it..

Went to the Jack 93.1 FM 10th anniversary show at Irvine Meadows or whatever it's called these days. We saw Lit, Everclear, Bush, Cake and Tears for Fears. We had a better time than the passed out folks around us. |

Last Saturday night my wife and I went and saw Gordon Lightfoot @ Humphreys Concerts By the Bay. At 77 it took Gordon about half a song for his voice to warm up, but his guitar pickin' was as good as ever. Great show. _________________ Prosit!

Thursday the 5th the wife and I went to see Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood. Surprise surprise, the best concert/show we have been to in years. Almost missed it due to the ticket sales screw up. Thought we were buying tickets for the 7th, they sent tickets for the 5th. Pure luck had me looking at the tickets one hour before the show started. _________________ Prosit!

Kid Rock did a benefit for Wounded Warriors here in Augusta. When you go see him, you know there's going to be some foul language. Regardless, it was a good show, a lot of good songs, and some entertaining stories that went with it. |

On the 14th my wife and I saw Arlo Guthrie at the tarrytown music hall, then on the 19th we saw Billy Joel down at the garden. Arlo put on a great show. His daughter opened for him and his son was playing keyboards amongst other things. He had some great stories along with some great music. _________________ 63 T1 Ragtop Gulf Blue
