Drop that 15/23 window fiberglass body on a (salvaged) bus frame backwards, and then drive it down the highway.... and imagine all the stunned looks you will be getting Awesome! _________________ drive it like you just robbed the bank

That thing still looks plastic even after it is painted.
Nevertheless, I'd like a tiny one to make a little gas powered go cart for my kids (be cool at the car shows!)
A friend of mine says he wants to build a 65 Mustang but he's going to buy all new parts, including the entire body shell, which someone is making (Camaro bodies too). Seems more like assembling a kit car, not building a Mustang. For the same reason, I hate the thought that someone is reproducing barn doors buses, even if they are metal. _________________ 1956 pgsg bus

I wonder what the weight comparison would be to a steel bodied bus and how the ride comparison would be if much lighter. Maybe rattle your teeth unless u soften the torsion stiffness. Nevertheless a interesting concept that will keep the splitty trend alive. |

Not sure if I'm reading the Japanese/English correctly, but it sounds like their intention is to have those be displays, NOT running vehicles. |

Doesn't seem like it would be cheaper with all the parts and labor and ground up build. You could just go original steel, or aftermarket steel. Interesting option though, maybe good for doors, or specific panels. |

I was thinking roof myself. I'd love to get a body that I could cut up and mod out.

additionally it may be beneficial to ask in the bug forums instead of the bus forums if you are looking for a bug shell. |

Sorry Jeff no answer to your question regarding your fiberglass bug body but I came across this fiberglass single cab shoe rack in the local Pull&Bear.
Looked ok actually from a distance, but it had some flaws like the width of the windscreen pillar and the shape of the roof.
I wonder who made these things
Btw, I would love to hang it upside down on the ceiling of our shop _________________ My 1958 PGSG project topic |

It'd be cool in a restaurant or to make a bed out of or something along those lines. _________________ "A rolling bus gathers no rust." |
