The easiest way to do the front piece is to make it slip over the front hump. Thats how we make ours our of 1/8 plate that is cnc plasma cut.

BTW we do sell the front piece separate if you dont want to tackle it yourself. |
I have one that the front hump slips over the nepolean hat area. I have not used it and decided not to use it because I could not come up with a good idea of how to seal it.
How do you seal yours that you make? _________________ Bad News Racing 2018 NORRA 1000 3rd in Class

Silicone the area where it slips over, ours fit nice and tight, and then a body gasket on top. _________________ Daryll http://www.azbaja.com P.R.

I've been considering making something like 1" thick-wall body lift that I weld to the pan channel, not to effect a raise of the body, but to strengthen the pan / chassis / body and provide a place to weld connections for a roll bar or cage.
btw, this is just for a street Baja with occasional easy offroad use, not a serious offroad racer.
any ideas, experience, input or criticism? _________________ 1965 Type 1 sunroof Baja / about 70k miles on self-rebuilt '74 1600 and counting / SP heads and aftermarket valve keepers / non-doghouse shroud with external cooler and filter / 1.5 qt extended sump / Weber 32/36 DFAV progressive carb / 009 dist with Pertronix / 1.25 ratio rockers and ball adjusters / 1.5" stainless steel J-pipes and carbon steel baja exhaust |

Dully noted, saved and will be buying a 1 inch and a 2 inch in the next 30 days. What a time saver for me.
