Yes, Kombis were pinstriped.

It looks like a Barndoor front beam too.

Maybe the mirrors were "upgraded"?
I have seen a few Barndoors with later mirror arms.

found this pic in a book ragarding Pegaso's sport car division. Pegaso was a Calatan (Spain) brand which used to build Trucks and Buses, they has a very modern and innovative sport car division that made a few unique and exclusive cars...

Here the pic shows a speed trial in a Belgian highway. The pic is dated 1953 so it makes a BD, no rear bumper seems to confirm that.
