Are automatic axles and manual axles the same for a 1969?

NO
The automatic axles are different length on each side. The CV joints are the same tho. It is just the axle shafts that are different.

OK, 38cm on the short one, and 43cm on the long one. This is just measured with a tape measure.

IIRC, the short is on the left and the long is on the right.
