| I'm trying to wire up my generator to the voltage regulator to check if the battery is charging ,I don't have the combi gauge installed yet . Is the generator light part of the charging system or can I wire up the voltage regulator without connecting the #61 terminal for the generator light ? Thanks in advance. |

Alternator needs to be energized by an outside source. Generator, no.
