Man, I could look through these threads for DAYS!! Love it.. Some pretty sweet buggies and rails on here... Here is mine.. a 1962 pan with a Dessert Fox body.. Picked it up last March and have been working on it since.. Just about ready to have it on the road and can't wait to take it for its first drive...
Here is what it looked like when I brought it home...
and here is what it looks like now..
New engine going in it... 1641cc with dual ICT carbs..

Awesome, love to see more pics! Also had to note the "Toyotafan" name, I've had several MR2s, Tacomas and 4Runners over the years! |

Just picked this up a couple of days ago. I'm new to Buggy's, so I have a lot of research to do. It runs and drives, but I have a hard time reaching the pedals, so I plan on buying a pedal slide mount. Something like this but, maybe not this exact one.

I finally finished my dual purpose street/sand rail. 2180 with tims stage 2's, 44IDF's and a pyramid transaxle. Will be working on converting over to 4 into 1 exhaust soon and suspension seats. Front is a +6 kingpin beam and 4x1 arms, rear is a 3x3 tubular trailing arms.

Heres my rail I just traded for. Finally got it running pretty good it had a empi weber progressive on it and I spent hours and hours trying to get it to run right. Put the stock solex and Intake back on and now it runs pretty good. Strong stock 1600dp that looks pretty fresh and a 3 rib, cnc pedals, stock suspension for now. Needs some work but ill have it how I want it before too long. Anyone know what chassis this is? Looks similar to an Invader but the rear end is pretty different

My dad's buggy built in 1967-68. Based on a '58 Beetle pan. Originally had the solid floor pans and stock VW front beam suspension. Photo taken at Samoa Dunes, California in '69; equipped with 1500cc engine. By 1970, it ran a 2180cc dynoed at 200 b.h.p. for a season. I have it and still run the dunes with a milder 2180.

My old street legal single seat buggy back in 1982 right before I sold it. My daily driver for just over a year. I was all over San Diego city streets, but only once had it towed out to the desert. It didn't do so well in the sand with the street tires, but it was still fun.
