How do i install my oil slinger ring and rubber ring?

I have a 1984 water cooled VW 1900cc. I am attempting to install my oil slinger ring. it has been a year since I took it apart. The pictures i took are gone. There is a oil slinger ring that is slightly concave. There is a rubber o-ring that goes with it. The woodruff key is cut off on on end. It appears this was done to make room for the rubber o-ring next to the oil slinger ring. What order do I put these in. Which way does the woodruff key face. Thank you for your help.
