Hard for me to take my good VWs...and cars out in the snow and ice these days... Too many idiots out and too much brine, salt, sand, shit...... too risky..
( I use my Pu'p Diesel in the snow)
But I have some remnants out in the backbone yard...
Plus a neighbors buggy is in for repairs.. until spring.

Drove my bug a couple weeks ago when we got dumped on in central NC
By the time I got to it it was already dusted (and the traffic backed up)
Got off the main roads and it was mostly clear of traffic but the roads covered over quick.
Home safe, an hour and a half later (normally 15 min commute, the first two miles took 45 min) |

Our familiy bus in 2009, in Madeira island.
Was bought from the first owner in 2007. He and his wife work on USA until 1988, when they retired and come back home with the van. It was bought new in 1976, on Bob Lewis, California.
It's a 2000cc fuel injection with automatic gear box. Never been restored... _________________ http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=538182 |

Maybe getting near the end of the season...?
Quick March storm. E already started getting the Ghia ready for the VW shows (Bealeton in early May), and polished the rust off the tailpipes yesterday... The Ghia was happy to be rev'ed up today to get rid of the new moisture everywhere, and ready to go, but no-where to go with all the salt on the streets...

I live in snow country, have always lived in snow country, and have been through some pretty massive storms.
That was a massive storm you guys just experienced. Over 30 inches at JFK is pretty impressive. _________________ nothing |
