Hello All,
Would like some input on my interior. As of right now, I'm going with the WW 10-piece Oatmeal German weave carpet kit. I'm trying to decide on black or grey rubber mats. Here is the interior. Not finished yet, obviously. But use your imagination. Also, if you think Oatmeal is not a good choice, let me know that too. I'm not really good with this stuff.
Thank you!

If black or gray are the only choices, black. |

Okay, thanks guys. Yes, I think I'm going to try to stick with either grey or black for the mats. So, we have one vote for black. Appreciate it! _________________ Be Plant-Strong!! Watch "Forks Over Knives" on Netflix

Any more thoughts? Grey or black for the floor mats?
Thanks everyone! _________________ Be Plant-Strong!! Watch "Forks Over Knives" on Netflix

it's such a great car with very nice color choice.
in my opinion i would fit in a carpet with the same reddish color like on the door panels and no rubber mats, but secondary carpet floor-mats in same color, so you can take them out and easily clean them.
and so the seats color but with creamwhite stiches and piping.
but that would only be my opinion.
(i hope i wrote it right, because of my bad english) |

Oatmeal carpet is the way to go here, for sure. And I'd go with a black floor mat (matches the rubber shift boot and handbrake boot). I would also consider putting tan coco mats or sisal mats down over the black floor mats.

On deluxe models of that era the rubber mat and tunnel hump were all one piece and you can get them at WW |

Guys - this is awesome. Thank you. Sounds like most are in favor of black mats. Looking at the car again this morning, I see a nice tie-in of black mats and the running boards. I believe that is the direction I will go. Oatmeal German weave with black mats.
Here is a pic with the seats temporarily installed just for grins.
Thank you!

Thanks Brian. Yeah, it's pretty "loud" vintage-tacky....but that's exactly what I was going for. I'm really happy with it. _________________ Be Plant-Strong!! Watch "Forks Over Knives" on Netflix

I personally like the reddish color with the green exterior. Gives it some pop and hides dirt.

As far as the mats go, if try to find the same color as the carpet kit. |
Maybe you just used that link to show a red interior and red/white rims but, that car is not green at all, it's Anthracite Grey. _________________ Formerly known in the forums as "OVALTEEN"

With all the nice things you are adding I notice that the glass is out of the car. Don't make the mistake of turning your car into a standard model look by not using the deluxe models window rubber and trim. Deluxe window trim used on a deluxe car makes the car look so much more upscale. I have a standard model 65 1200"A" and the black out looks great, but that's because it has other black out trim. I would never do that to my 64 deluxe because it would have a terrible contrast to all the other deluxe items on the car. |

Helfen,
You're exactly right. Yes, I'm dolling up the car with every little bit of chrome trim I can. It really does add so much to these cars. Thanks for the input!!
