Why do you assume you need new carbs? What is wrong with the pair on there? Looks like a vanagon digi jet ignition without vacuum hooked up. What do you know about the engine and buggy? |

Best I can tell is you have dual Solex carbs... Might want to get part number off carb and see if you can get a couple of rebuild kits and spend afternoon learning about carburetors... If yoiu can get numbers of float chamber (they look like 11 40 4AEIS to me) and do Google search It may turn up a lot of information about carbs... For fact there is KADRON sticker on fan shroud (or whatever) suggest you also use the in your search criteria...You probably have a Kadron dual carb "kit" on engine...
From looks of things if you are going to replace or rebuild one you might as well do other one too....

If you are uncomfortable with carb rebuilds then you can send them out. There are people who specialize in Kadron rebuilding. |

Looks like air cleaners have never been serviced - plus carbs are leaking. Remove and mail them to me and I'll send you intake manifolds and a single OEM carb that will hook up to the vacuum port on the distributor.
Clean them, replace air filters and plug the vacuum line. _________________ CMC '57 Porsche Speedster Replica and Dolphin boat tailed full pan VW MOD-T Street Buggy |

Solex Kadrons! Great, simple, single-barrel carburetors. Ran 'em on my bus for years. Have a set waiting in the wings to go on my buggy when it's ready.
Just one place that offers parts and service:
